Peppermint Tea is Good for Bloating: Ask the Herbalist
In addition to tasting refreshing, peppermint tea has some wonderful medicinal benefits as well! As a natural anti-inflammatory and cooling property, herbal peppermint tea is good for bloating, but also can help ease those head colds and sinus congestion symptoms.
The anti-inflammatory properties of peppermint provide many other medicinal benefits. One major factor is peppermint aids in the ease of GI issues and reduces inflammation during digestion. By increasing metabolism effectiveness, we can also experience better sleep and better energy throughout the day!

Herbal Peppermint Tea Recipe
Step 1-Boil 6-8oz of water or use a Keurig to heat the water
Step 2- If using dried herb, put 1 tsp of peppermint in tea strainer. If using fresh herb, tear apart 2 leaves and place into tea strainer.
Step 3- Let peppermint steep for 4-5 minutes (be mindful, if peppermint steeps too long it can quickly become bitter!).
Step 4- Sweeten to your liking with organic honey or stevia.
Step 5- (most important of all) deeply inhale through the nose…and smile.
Peppermint herb isn’t the only herb that makes an amazing tea! You can make an infusion out of any herb that tastes good to you. Lemon balm is actually a wonderful compliment to mixing with peppermint and creates a refreshing and smooth tea.
